It's almost over

I can't believe that my time as a student studying A levels is almost over, in all honesty I'm pretty glad!

I've been dreading the month of June for so long because of course it's Exam month. So far were eleven days in, I've pushed through 2 exams and still have another 4 to go.

As you can see I've been counting down the days to freedom on my miniature calendar. After June the 19th all of my A levels will have been completed and I will be waiting for that dreaded results day on August 13th.

Good luck to any of you who are also sitting exams, be it AS or A levels, GCSE or even your finals at university.

Wish me luck xx

Orange Is The New Black

Well, not quite. But this spring orange is going to be such a big colour, be it a muted, pastel or fluroescent shade. I totally love it.

My favourite orange/coral buy so far is a total bargain at £7.99 from New Look. An adorable, fluroescent pyjama vest and shorts set.

The shorts are admittedly a little cheeky, so if that's something that would bother you I definitely suggest sizing up a size bigger than you'd normally buy. Nevertheless, they still look so cute. I think you can get away with showing a little cheek in pyjamas, especially seeing as you don't need to leave the house in them.

I'm definitely most excited to take them away with me in July when I visit Spain with my friends. They're the perfect colour to enhance a tan and make you look even more tanned than you actually are! If orange isn't your black, then the set comes in black as well, at the exact same price.

The Sisterhood of the World Bloggers Award

A little off topic to my usual posts, but I was lucky enough to be nominated for the Sisterhood of the World Blogging Award by Laura, who you can find here along with everything you need to know about the award. Thank you very much Laura for choosing me!

So here goes:

What is your favourite type of food?
My favourite type has to be italian! You cannot beat pizza and pasta. My favourite meal is my dad's stir fry - cannot beat it!

Favourite film of all time?
I'm not a massive movie watcher, but Friends with Benefits is my favourite.
If you could live in any country where could it be?
Egypt, Australia or America. Egypt is so beautiful, I've been three times and I just also am a lover of hot countries. As for America and Australia I've never been to either, but I definitely envy anybody who has! They both look incredible.

If you could be any celebrity, who would you be and why?
Without a doubt Beyonce! Can you just imagine that? A day in the life of Beyonce would be absolutely insane. Or even a Kardashian, quite a controversial answer but I think their lives would be so fun and fast paced, also I wouldn't mind meeting Kanye West or Scott Disick!

If you could tell your past self something knowing where you'd be now, what would it be?
I would 100% tell myself to be selfish, and stop putting myself out people who don't appreciate it! It's totally fine to think of yourself once in a while, because in the long run the only person truelly there for you sadly, is yourself.

Why did you start blogging?
I always wanted to start because I think it opens you up to so many different things and people who all share the same interests as you. I started for fun! From blogging I've discovered so many new products and had so many new ideas, as well as confidence! Blogging has definitely made me more confident.

What are your favourite blogs to read?
I love loads of blogs, its so hard to be specific! But if I have to choose one, I really enjoy velvetgh0st (Gabbie).

Last film you saw at the cinema?
I haven't been to the cinema in forever. I think it was the Inbetweeners 2? I'm probably wrong. I'm debating whether to go and see 50 Shades of Grey.

Is there anything you're looking forward too?
Summer! I hate this cold whether, it's definitely time for it to disappear. Spending the summer with my six best friends as well, as an 18 year old.

Where do you see yourself in 10 years time?
I honestly have no future plan at the moment! I hope by the time that I'm 28 I am doing something I love in my own house with a pug. Hahaha.

I nominate:
Charlie - chunkycharliechops
Nivii - niviisdiary
Rhian - So a la Mode
And anyone else who would like to!

My questions to you are:
1. If you could only wear one lipstick for the rest of your life, what one would it be?
2. What one item of clothing could you not live without?
3. Who is your favourite fashion designer/clothing store?
4. What nail varnish are you wearing? Name the colour and the brand.
5. If you could swap wardrobes with anyone, who would it be?
6. Who inspires the way you dress? Why?
7. What is your plan for the future?
8. If you could move to any country, where would you go?
9. If you were going away and could only take 3 makeup items, what would they be?
10. You're going to grab lunch with your celebrity crush, what will you wear?

One of MAC's secrets.

I definitely feel as though there are a world of MAC lipsticks that go unnoticed because of the popularity of others. I'm not saying I don't buy some of the best-sellers that MAC has to offer, because I definitely do - and although it's been months I am still trying to get my hands on a Velvet Teddy! But I do really love some of the less popular.

I'm not very adventurous when it comes to lipstick, I'm definitely more of a nude or "your lips but better" type of girl, and I am extremely fussy. It has to be semi-matte or full matte, otherwise I'm not wearing it! I found MAC - BRAVE when I was searching for a new lipstick to get with my "back to MAC" - you take 6 empties back to your local store and get a free lipstick in return. Its a dark pinky colour that isn't too far off some peoples normal lip colour, and not too far off mine. With a satin finish, it has a slight sheen but is in no way glossy and to me is nearly matte. And I love that. The finish makes it slightly moisturising and not at all drying - one of the biggest problems with matte lipsticks.

When I say that I literally wear this lipstick every single day it is not a lie, I absolutely adore it. It's the perfect colour to pair with a dark smoky eye on a night out or to compliment a natural and neutral brown/bare look. I will 110% be repurchasing this lipstick as soon as I run out. x x x

Simple Ways to Beat Procrastination

As a student myself, I have definitely noticed that I am probably the Queen of Procrastinating. I just cannot seem to do coursework at home! You could argue it's because I have the attention span on a goldfish (seriously, I'm not joking) so I find the internet and home comforts (TV, food, my phone, etc.) extremely distracting. If you're just like me, you could try some of these suggestions to help get that work done.

1. Get off the internet!

One reason I much prefer to do my work in college is because the library workers have the ability to block certain websites (Twitter, Tumblr, Online Shops) from being opened on the college computers, meaning even if I wanted a quick peek at my timeline, I couldn't. However, if you have work to do overnight or over the weekend, meaning you aren't able to use college facilities, then I suggest maybe disconnecting yourself from your home internet. If you don't need the aid of Google or any online web page then simply turn your laptop/computers ability to join Wi-Fi off until you've finished your work. That way you can still be on your laptop, typing in a Word Document, but if you try to cheekily open Google for a second it wont load.

Alternatively. if you aren't able to resist the temptation to type in your Wi-Fi password and sneak onto the internet for a second, consider hand writing your essay/work (with your laptop turned off) and then quickly typing it up once you've finished. That way, even if you use social networks alongside typing the work up, you have already completed the work in a hand-written form and do ot have to stress about it not being done at all.

2. Your friends can wait!

I'm not sure about Androids and other brands of mobile phone, but I know for certain that iPhones, iPod's and iPad's have a "Do Not Disturb" mode. This will be your best friend whilst doing work! You wont miss out on a million arrangements or gossip for half an hour whilst you're doing some work, and your friends wont mind that your reply to their text may take a little while. Once you've done the work, take your phone off Do Not Disturb and pick up where you left off.

3. Have your comforts prepared.

If you know half way through your work you're going to get a little peckish, then prepare a snack to keep with you as you go. This means you can avoid going to the kitchen to prepare/decide what you will eat, or using being hungry as an excuse to procrastinate a little more. Before you begin your work, grab a drink and a snack (it could be a packet of crisps, a bowl of fruit, whatever you fancy) and keep it beside you as you go.

4. Don't overwork yourself, time setting is key.

An important thing to keep in mind is that you do not have to do all the work you have at once. The last thing really you want to be doing is sitting at a desk for a solid 2 hours plus, completing an entire essay or every piece of work you've been set. It is more than OK to take breaks. Have you done 40 minutes of work and want to watch a 30 minute TV show? Do it! Save your work and come back to it. Just make sure that you are strict with your breaks and you do come back to your work, don't get carried away.

Kendall Jenner at New York Fashion Week

If you're as fashion crazy as me, you'll most likely already know, however if you aren't as bothered, I'll tell you anyway - It's New York Fashion Week! Aaah very exciting.

With it only being a year since the aspiring supermodel Kendall Jenner first began walking in High Fashion Runways, she has absolutely killed it at this years fashion week, managing to appear in eight, yes really, eight runway shows for various designers. (Here she is appearing at fashion week, looking just as amazing off the runway as she did on).Of course, in every single one she looked incredible. Kendall really showed her versatility as a model in the industry this week, sporting gothic looks for the likes of Alexander Wang and much more graceful looks for designers such as Oscar de la Renta and Diane Von Furstenberg. Is there anything this girl cannot rock?

Personally, I really adore Kendall and believe she is successfully portrayed as a very graceful, kind and hard-working girl in the media, on social networks as well as on the family reality show "Keeping up with the Kardashian's". However, whether it's down to pure girl-on-girl envy or reasons I am not so sure of, many people disagree, and seem to have hatred for Kendall.

It can be argued that for poor 19-year-old Kendall, jealousy and hatred have accompanied her catwalk career right from its beginning, after rumours that during last season (Kendall's début) models backstage had been stubbing their cigarettes out in Jenner's drinks. Although Kendall was quick to deny these rumours saying "none of that has happened. Everyone's been really cool to me. I've never had one girl be mean.. so far". A source close to Kendall also told E! News "If Kendall was bullied, she certainly isn't aware of it. She was too busy working hard and enjoying what she's doing"."

Well, if she didn't notice it before, it has certainly been made much clearer now, as some models have taken to Instagram to be extremely rude to Kendall. After a picture posted by @VogueGermany of the model having her makeup done in preparation for her walk wearing Donna Karen's line, model Lexi Boling brought the image to Teen Vogue's cover star Binx Walton's attention. Lexi sarcastically wrote "She never looked better", whilst Binx replied "That's fucked up" both comments including laughing emoji's. Disgraceful behaviour.

Mature model Kendal hasn't retaliated to the childish behaviour and continued to do her thing for the rest of the week in New York, as well as preparing to jet to London for none other than London Fashion Week. You go Kenny!
