The Naked 2 by Urban Decay

Prior to receiving this palette on December 25th, I was dying to try it out. Of course, everyone in the beauty industry who is lucky enough to have or have tried this product has done nothing but rave about its greatness. And to be honest, I really don't blame them.

At £37.00 it is a small fortune for people starting out their makeup collections (like me, as a student). But have you actually ever done the math? The 12 wearable shades work out to be around £3 each, and that's not taking into consideration that you also receive a very high quality, double ended brush for applying the shadows with. In my opinion, that's incredible.

I'm pretty sure anyone, as well as myself, who has this product will without a doubt say that it is totally worth its price. With a wide variety of mattes and glitters, every shade in this palette can be worn both day and night, and their pigmentation is sensational. The shadows will definitely be around for hundreds of uses before you begin to hit pan! What makes this palette appeal much more to me than the original NAKED, and recent NAKED 3, is that it has the matte black shade "blackout", like the first, which allows you to completely transform the look on your lids from simple and sultry to smoky and sexy in a matter of seconds. I also find the NAKED 3 a little too pink, the shades are all very similar, which doesnt allow as wide a variety of looks you could acheive when combining the shadows.

My favourite shades in the NAKED 2 have to be:
"Tease" - the perfect transition colour for the crease. Matte, natural and extremely blendable.
"Chopper" - a beautiful glittery shade for the lid of your eye. It can be made sultry, to be worn in the day if applied with a fluffy brush, or absolutely show-stopping if applied with your finger (the best way to get the full pigmentation) ready for a night out!
"Busted" - the best way to complete the combo, darken the outer corners and the edge of the crease to give real definition or even a smoky effect to your look.
